Welcome to The History of Murder store. If you already listen to the podcast, you know that this show started with two people who love research, storytelling, and digging into the lives of real people who lived through extraordinary moments.

The podcast has taken us into archives, libraries, museums, and towns all across the country, and somewhere along the way people began asking for something fun to go with the podcast, like shirts, mugs, candles, and that is how the shop began.

Some items showcase our logo for anyone who wants a simple connection to the podcast. Others come from the moments that happen when you spend hours with court records and old stories; the jokes, the phrases that stick, the things true crime fans immediately recognize.

It is a mix of our research life and the humor that helps us through it.

The Investigators

Executive Producer Clare O’Donohue: Clare’s a documentary producer, mystery author, and improv-trained storyteller. She’s interviewed killers, scholars, and everyone in between, and still believes history holds the best plot twists.

Executive Producer Margaret (aka Maggie) Smith: Margaret spent years in school libraries helping kids explore stories. Now she brings forgotten ones to life with research and AI imagery on The History of Murder. Proud mom. Story chaser.
